  • From energy generation to transportation, from energy distribution to storage, from semiconductor processing to communications, and from portable devices to data centers, energy consumption has grown to be a major limitation to usability and performance. Therefore, energy-efficient technologies become an active research area motivated by energy necessity and environmental concerns. With energy-efficient technologies, a number of epoch-making technical approaches can be expected. Energy efficiency technologies are affecting all forms of energy conversion and all aspects of life.

    Journal of Electronic Science and Technology (JEST) is a peer-reviewed periodical, indexed by Scopus and EI in INSPEC, and also included in DOAJ, CAS, CNKI, Sciencepaper Online, etc.

    JEST is soliciting original manuscripts for Special Section on Energy-Efficient Technologies (EET) which appears on JEST periodically. This special section on EET intends to bring together the state-of-art research results and industrial applications of energy-efficient technologies. Authors are invited to submit unpublished papers, which are not under review in any other conference or journal, in the following topic areas, but not limited to:

    ◆ Energy-saving materials and devices ◆ Energy-aware fault tolerance.

    ◆ Low-power circuit and system ◆ Energy-efficient storage systems.

    ◆ CAD for power optimization ◆ Efficient power generation/conversion

    ◆ Energy-aware and energy-efficient computing. ◆ Efficient power transmission/distribution

    ◆ Energy-efficient communication, networking, and protocols ◆ Smart metering and dynamic pricing

    ◆ Energy monitoring and management ◆ Energy-efficient transport and logistics

    Guest Editors are also cordially invited to submit proposals for special issues/sections related to Energy-Efficient Technologies to JEST (journal@uestc.edu.cn).

    All the manuscripts will undergo the standard peer review process. For manuscript preparation and submission, please follow the guidelines in the Information for Authors at http://www.journal.uestc.edu.cn/. When submitting, please indicate that this paper is intended for EET.
